Plant Features

The Wendy's Wish Sage Plant was discovered in the garden of Wendy Smith, a Salvia hobbyist, in Victoria Australia. The name comes from the fact that Wendy wanted a portion of the royalties to go towards the Make A Wish Foundation in her native country. Known to attract butterflies, the leaves are medium-dark green and lightly serrated, above which rise the deep maroon-colored stems that bear the vivacious flower spikes. The flowers emerge lipstick pink with green calyxes that mature to an astonishing bronzy-red. The effect is quite striking!

Companion Planting: Artemisia, Euphorbia, Hemerocallis, Papaver, Scabiosa

Can't wish for more

Great sage plant. Blooms all summer long and requires little maintenance. One of our favorites.
