Our Astilbe Astary® Rose Shades False Spirea Plant is one of the most brightly colored in the Astary series, each fluffy flower plume looking similar to a miniature, bright-pink-flocked Christmas tree. Reliable, this herbaceous perennial has exceptional branching, its foliage being dark, glossy green; the better to show off this marvelously eye-catching coloration. Cut this False Spirea for fresh vases or dry them for an everlasting arrangement. Their tolerance for shade makes them ideal in entryway or covered patio containers or planted en masse in shaded beds or in wooded areas.
Common Names: false spirea, false goat's beard
Companion Planting: Ferns, Helleborus, Hosta
Astary® Rose Shades Astilbe Plant Care Instructions: Plants should never allow to dry out. The spent flowers can be removed or left on for garden interest. Foliage can be trimmed back to the 2-inchs above the ground in early winter.
