Big Bang™ Red Shift Coreopsis Plant produces daisy-shaped flowers veined into thin fingerling petals of graduated length, producing a delicately scalloped edge. It is so-named because the blossoms range in color from a sunny yellow with red surrounding the golden center, to a flower that can be a solid ruby-red as the weather cools. What a fantastic, heat resistant specimen to provide changing color throughout the growing season! Known to attract butterflies, the Big Bang™ series was created to provide continuous color and as such has sterile flowers, which will not reseed and does not attract pollinators like other tickseed varieties. Deer and rabbits tend to avoid this plant.

Comment: I ordered one Big Bang Red Shift Coreopsis plant from GrowJoy last spring. As I stated before, it arrived in a 3” pot and was very healthy. Now it is 10 times larger than in the spring and still blooming. I couldn't believe how many flowers this plant produced. The name says "Red Shift”, but so far it is all yellow, which is just fine with me. Comment: My Big Bang Red Shift Coreopsis Plant arrived in the mail in great condition and were very well packed. I have planted in a full-sun flower bed, and it is growing well. In fact I didn't see any transplant shock, and I attribute that to a very healthy and well-developed root system. Not too bad for a mail order plant in a 3" pot.
