Because it puts all of its efforts into produce a dazzling display of blooms, it does not get tall. Deadheading after the first bloom is best for a second flowering. Bijou should be pruned by half in later winter. In northern gardens Bijou do best in full sun but prefer lightly shaded areas in southern gardens.
