Plant Features

Champagne Bubbles Papaver has an abundance of cup-shaped flowers in a broad range of colors including orange, yellow, white, bronze, and scarlet bloom in spring and early summer. The flowers sit atop bushy, strong-stemmed plants. Poppy plants prefer slightly moist, well-drained soils and full sun. A rock garden gem, they are handsome in containers, and make wonderful cut flowers. Papaver is an excellent source of nectar for bees and wild birds eat the seeds once the flower heads dry down. Deer and rabbit tend to overlook them while browsing.

Comment: Still waiting for these flowers to actually bloom, but they're very close (as of May 29th in Northeast Ohio). I was concerned when I received them that they looked so droopy, but they look much healthier now and I'm looking forward to seeing the actual flower!
