Delft Lace Astilbe features delicate pink sprays of blossoms that rise above the foliage on deep red stems. The fancy fernlike foliage is a lovely blue-green to silver-green. Foliage displays some burgundy fall color. Delft Lace ships as a bare root. We like growing from bare roots because they establish quickly, become twice the size of a potted plant in the first season, and eliminate the need for plastic pots (a win for the environment).
Common Names: false spirea, false goat's beard

Delft Lace Astilbe Plant Care Instructions: Plants should never allow to dry out. The spent flowers can be removed or left on for garden interest. Foliage can be trimmed back to the 2-inchs above the ground in early winter.
