Desert Coral Coreopsis Plant Care Instructions: Only water if the plant starts looking droopy. The spent flowers should be left on the plant for the Goldfinch and other songbirds. Cut it back to the ground in late winter or early spring before the new growth starts. Spring is a good time to apply fertilizer for the year.
