Plant Features

Clematis 'Diamantina', a standout double clematis, is highly acclaimed for its abundant and enduring blooms. With each flower evoking a rich blue-purple shade, reminiscent of a dahlia, this cultivar promises up to four weeks of a layered lilac-blue spectacle, beautifully contrasted by its pale yellow "fountain" center. Blooming twice, once in early summer and again in late summer, Diamantina ensures nearly an entire season bathed in its magnificent charm.

Its compact form makes it especially suitable for small gardens or even container planting, becoming an exceptional choice for patios, decks, and outdoor dining areas. When aligned with wall-trained shrubs, especially those bearing grey or variegated foliage, Diamantina's beauty is enhanced further.

Plant Care: Plants do best with a climbing support and with a few inches of mulch to keep their roots cool. Flowers are produced on old and new growth, so plants should not be pruned by more than one third. Pruning can be done in late winter or early spring.
