Plant Features

Clematis 'Double Multi-Blue', with its lavish royal blue blossoms, stands out as a garden marvel that blooms twice annually. This clematis is uniquely characterized by its double petals, which offer a dense, layered appearance. At the heart of each flower is a grouping of delicate petals, underscored by shimmering silvery stamens that amplify its beauty.

Come May and June, gardens are adorned with its first round of blooms, only to be dazzled again from September through October. Every single bloom, measuring between 4-5 inches, presents a captivating blend of deep blue to purple shades. The consistent double-flowered allure, regardless of the blooming season, cements Multi-Blue's reputation as one of the premium double-flowering clematis varieties.

Plant Care: Plants do best with a climbing support and with a few inches of mulch to keep their roots cool. Flowers are produced on old growth only, so plants should not be pruned unless the stem ends become damaged, or for shaping in late winter.
