Emerald Cushion Blue Creeping Phlox Plant Care Instructions: Keep the plant well-watered for the first 3-4 weeks. For continuous flowering keep the soil most, 2-3 inches of mulch will help. Early spring a great time to add fertilizer, another application can be applied in June. Creeping phlox should be trimmed back by 1 inch after flowering is done each spring. Because it is an evergreen it should never be cut back to the ground. Roots can be divided every 4 years in early fall.
