Fuldaglut Sedum is another mat-forming succulent commonly grown as a ground cover. It produces green foliage with reddish edges that turn a deep burgundy in the fall. The tiny, star-shaped, red flowers bloom atop reddish flower stems. Easy to grow and tolerates poor soil, heat, and drought. Sedum plants are wonderful for attracting late season butterflies and bees. It is also a host plant for the Phoebus Parnassian butterfly.
