Incarnata Maypop Passiflora Plant may be one the most unique flowering vines you'll ever grow. The intricate, out of this world blooms arrive in shades of lavender and purple and sport an array of petals with an interesting fringe of filaments that resembles a crown. Combined with prominent pistils and sepals it's a fascinating, fragrant flower. Popular in the southeastern US, the purple passionflower produces yellow fruits, called Maypops, that are enjoyed by wildlife. It is a host plant for the Gulf Fritillary and Zebra butterflies. Passiflora prefer full sun locations with some afternoon shade in Southern gardens. It's happiest in well drained soil, and grows well in containers.

Comment: Thank you, GrowJoy, for the wonderful Maypops! All three are healthy and happy in their new homes. I’ll send a pic of the native garden to email@example.com! Butterflies, birds and bees all send you high marks!
