Incarnata Maypop Passiflora Plant may be one the most unique flowering vines you'll ever grow. The intricate, out of this world blooms arrive in shades of lavender and purple and sport an array of petals with an interesting fringe of filaments that resembles a crown. Combined with prominent pistils and sepals it's a fascinating, fragrant flower. Popular in the southeastern US, the purple passionflower produces yellow fruits, called Maypops, that are enjoyed by wildlife. Passiflora prefer full sun locations with some afternoon shade in Southern gardens. It's happiest in well drained soil, and grows well in containers.
