Inkheart Hemerocallis is an early midseason bloomer, that boasts its ability to survive harsh conditions and weather. Inkheart Hemerocallis Daylily produces creamy-yellow flowers that have a gorgeous deep purple ring around the yellow throat. Inkheart ships as a bare root. We like growing from bare roots because they establish quickly, become twice the size of a potted plant in the first season, and eliminate the need for plastic pots (a win for the environment).
Common Names: day lilies, daylily, day lily
Hemerocallis Companion Plants: Crocosmia, Geranium, Grasses, Nepeta
Inkheart Hemerocallis Plant Care: Besides apply water if the plant starts looking droopy (which is practically never), there is not much else this plant needs. The flower stalks can be cut back after the plant is done blooming for the season. Dividing daylilies is not necessary unless you don't want them spreading. Division can be done in early fall when the foliage is being cut back to the ground.
