Kudos Ambrosia Agastache Plants produce beautiful flower spires in shades of creamy coconut, light orange and pale rose pink. This compact plant will bloom from early summer right to September. This low maintenance plant grows well in flower beds, patio containers, hummingbird gardens, cottage gardens, cutting gardens, rock gardens, and costal gardens. Hummingbird Mint can tolerate a wide range of well-drained soils, though they are short lived on damp clay. Deer and rabbit tend to leave it alone.
Common Names: Hummingbird Mint, Giant Hyssop, Rock Anise Hyssop, Licorice Mint
Agastache Companion Plants: Geranium, Monarda, Nepeta
Kudos Ambrosia Agastache Plant Care: Keep the plant well-watered for the first 4-5 weeks. After that, only water if the plant starts looking droopy. Leave the spent flowers on the plant throughout the winter as birds enjoy eating the seeds. It can be cut back to around 6 inches from the ground in early spring before the new growth starts. This is also a good time to apply fertilizer for the year.
