Kudos Mandarin Agastache Plants produce beautiful, bright orange flowers on short, upright spikes that are held above mounds of green foliage. Flowers continuously from early summer right into September. Plants can be grown in containers or directly in the ground. Hummingbird mint grows best in full sun locations with well drained soils. It is a must have for hummingbird gardens! Deer and rabbit tend to avoid this plant.
Companion Planting: Geranium, Monarda, Nepeta
Kudos Mandarin Agastache Plant Care: Keep the plant well-watered for the first 4-5 weeks. After that, only water if the plant starts looking droopy. Leave the spent flowers on the plant throughout the winter as birds enjoy eating the seeds. It can be cut back to around 6 inches from the ground in early spring before the new growth starts. This is also a good time to apply fertilizer for the year.
