Liatris, commonly called Blazing Star, is a long-blooming plant that produces fuzzy, bottle-brush flowers that attract bees and other pollinators. Tolerates poor soils, drought, summer heat and humidity. Liatris needs at least 6 hours of direct sunlight per day. It is a perennial in zones 3 - 9.
