Plant Features

Maggie Daley Astilbe is pretty in pink, with a profusion of bright pink, slightly fuzzy spires rising up above the green foliage in mid to late summer. Can withstand dry conditions. The foliage remains attractive throughout the entire season and plants perform best when planted part sun locations in consistently moist soil. Maggie Daley ships as a bare root. We like growing from bare roots because they establish quickly, become twice the size of a potted plant in the first season, and eliminate the need for plastic pots (a win for the environment).

Common Names: false spirea, false goat's beard

Astilbe Companion Plants: Ferns, Helleborus, Hosta

Maggie Daley Astilbe Plant Care Instructions: Plants should never allow to dry out. The spent flowers can be removed or left on for garden interest. Foliage can be trimmed back to the 2-inchs above the ground in early winter.
