Magic Fountains Dark Blue with Dark Bees Delphinium Plants offer a long-blooming, dwarf-sized variety that produces bold, electric-bluish-purple, ruffled flowers with dark blue centers, or bees. The bushy habit and 12-inch flower spires means this variety almost never needs staking. Few perennials are as effective as Larkspur in providing a vertical accent in gardens. They prefer well-drained, fertile soil and full to part sun. They will not take the heat and humidity of the far south gardens. Flowers can be cut back to encourage a rebloom. Delphinium plants attract butterflies, bees, and hummingbirds, but they resist deer and rabbits.
