Plant Features
Moonshine Achillea Plants produce bright yellow flowers that appear throughout the summer on stiff stems that stand above its fern-like, aromatic, silvery to gray-green foliage. It is suitable for mixed and perennial borders, wildlife, and cutting gardens. Yarrow thrives in sunny locations with well-drained soils. It tolerates drought once established and the salty conditions found in coastal gardens. After blooms are spent, cut plant back to the ground. In order to maintain its vigor, plants should be divided every 3-5 years. The tiny flowers attract hummingbirds and butterflies, while the seeds of yarrow appeal to many songbirds. Deer and rabbits tend to leave it alone.
