Plant Features

New England Aster Plants light up the fall landscape with masses of tiny, daisy-like blossoms in shades of lavender, purple and pink. Asters are the reliable performers of fall gardens, and provide much needed nectar for the Monarch butterfly migration. It is a larval host plant for: Pearl Crescent and checkerspot butterflies. Deer and rabbits seldom browse asters; butterflies flock to their flowers and wild bird love the small seeds. Roots should be divided every 3-5 years to keep the plant growing vigorously.
