Plant Features

New River Bougainvillea Plants offer medium-sized purple flowers on a plant that offers a thicker habit as well as smaller leaves. Paperflower plants are flowering machines! They put out a big explosion of color, drop their bracts and then flower again. This is repeated all season long. Bougainvillea are surprisingly easy to grow, and their needs are minimal - full sun, well-drained soil and intermittent irrigation as they are drought tolerant. Hummingbirds, bees, and butterflies will stop by often. Can be grown as a houseplant.

I love bougainvillea, and the assortment of colors GrowJoy has to offer is top notch. These arrived packaged very well and were already thriving. They're small upon arrival, but with a little fertilizer, sunlight and water, you'll see an exceptional amount of growth within just a few weeks!
