Plant Features
New Vintage™ Violet Achillea Plants bring magical clusters of flat-topped blooms in a striking shade of violet, hovering over feathery, fern-like foliage that is pleasantly aromatic. This one combines the best of classic yarrow with a fresh new color twist! Yarrow thrives in sunny locations with well-drained soils. It tolerates drought once established and the salty conditions found in coastal gardens. After blooms are spent, cut the plant back to the ground. To maintain its vigor, plants should be divided every 3-5 years. The tiny flowers attract hummingbirds and butterflies, while the seeds of yarrow appeal to many songbirds. Deer and rabbits tend to leave it alone.
