Passionate Blush Gaura Plant Care: Trimming the spent flower heads in mid-summer will ensure a longer bloom period. Gaura plants tolerate urban pollution, heat and humidity, and a wide range of soils, from well-drained, fertile ones to dry and acidic. The do not however like heavy, wet soil. Plants can be cut back to 8 inches after the first hard frost.
