Patriot Hosta Plants produce the most vivacious and visible white margins of any variety. It offers large, ovate-shaped, leaves and funnel-shaped, lavender flowers that rise well above its foliage in midsummer. It was named Host of the Year by both the American Hosta Growers Association and the Royal Horticultural Society. You can see this one from clear across the yard! Plantain lilies thrive when grown in moist soils with between 2-5 hours of sun. Plants should be divided every 3-5 years; its best to do so in the fall right before the first frost. Hummingbirds and bees are attracted to it flowers.
