Pink Supreme Bee Balm Plant is a more compact variety of Bee Balm, considered a dwarf by some and well-suited to container planting or borders and edgings. Just as salt tolerant as its larger relatives, the striking shaggy flowers are a pretty lavender-pink while the leaves are large and medium-green and highly resistant to powdery mildew. The whole plant is fragrant and will attract hummingbirds, butterflies and bees, just as the larger plants will. Plants do best in moist to wet soils.
Companion Planting: Achillea, Eupatorium, Grasses, Phlox, Salvia
Pink Supreme Monarda Care: Plants should be always kept well-watered. The dried flowers produce a fruit that wild birds enjoy, so don’t cut back the plants back to the ground till late winter or early spring. Early spring is also a good time to apply fertilizer for the year.
