Pinky Winky® Hydrangea is as unusual as is its name. In mid-summer the two-toned flower heads put on quite an exhibition. The flowers emerge white, and then turn pink as the flower spike continues to push white flowers out at the top. The result is a panicle that grows 12 to 16 inches long and will be middling-pink at the bottom and white at the top. This Proven Winners® selection is really stunning. The dark green foliage sets off this display to perfection and it continues to bloom regardless of climate, pH, pruning, or soil. You can even train this variety to grow as a small tree.

Comment: This hydrangea is a large very prolific bloomer. A fast grower, mature size is approximately 8'x8'. Blooms starting in Mid June with flowers staying on until frost. Starts out pure white and slowly turns to partially light pink, to rose, then rose gold in late fall. My plant is in zone 3 but trying to find this particular hydrangea is not easy in the nursery's. Excellent cutter. Does not wilt.
