Popcorn Cassia is a unique plant that produces a bright green foliage that smells like popcorn when it is rubbed. It also offers dense flower spikes covered with bright yellow flowers. This ornamental plant looks good in gardens and landscaping and can be grown as a houseplant as well. It will become very large if grown year-round outdoors in zone 10-11. Plant can be pruned when it is done flowering to keep it a more compact shape. Popcorn cassia grows best in full sun locations with moist, well-drained soils.
