Red Rooster Carex Grass produces narrow, coppery blades with a graceful upright habit that distinguish this unusual grass. Incorporated into a container or ornamental bed, it provides textural interest to complement both blooming plants and other foliage. Red Rooster Sedge is tolerant of almost any soil and makes an excellent bog plant. It looks superb even when covered in winter frosts. It is a low maintenance grass and is generally free from most disease. It has bright red seed heads to add interest late in the season.
