Rise and Shine is a new hybrid variety of the Astilbe chinensis species that is much more tolerant to sun and drought than other varieties. It is an excellent perennial for both full sun and full shade, and its foliage is resistant to deer and rabbits. To keep the plant healthy, be sure to trim back its foliage in the spring as it will help protect it from the cold winter weather.
