Sherbet Cocktail Tall Phlox Plant is the first garden phlox to have yellow in its make-up. Bred by Jan Verschoor, yellowy-green buds emerge from rich maroon-brown bracts and then open with either soft pastel lavender-pink or white centers with yellow edges, forming flower clusters that can look remarkably like rainbow sherbet. Somewhat resembling a hydrangea blossom, the flowers have a slightly waxy appearance and hold up well. Deadheading will prolong the blooming season, and this is one that you want to keep on blossoming to bring the butterflies! Companion Planting: Aster, Echinacea, Eupatorium, Fuchsia, Geranium, Salvia
