Strawberry Candy Hemerocallis

Strawberry Candy Hemerocallis Plant produces dusty-pink flowers with rosy lipstick smudged eye zones surrounding golden-green throats. Its blossoms grow to 3-4.5-inches and have tightly ruffled edges with a repeat of the rosy lip liner on the outside edges of the frilled petals. The graceful stamens carry the pink theme upwards, being topped with golden-green anthers. Even the sepals are lightly frilled making this Daylily look good enough to eat! Strawberry Candy ships as a bare root. We like growing from bare roots because they establish quickly, become twice the size of a potted plant in the first season, and eliminate the need for plastic pots (a win for the environment).

Strawberry Candy Hemerocallis Plant Care: Besides apply water if the plant starts looking droopy (which is practically never), there is not much else this plant needs. The flower stalks can be cut back after the plant is done blooming for the season. Dividing daylilies is not necessary unless you don't want them spreading. Division can be done in early fall when the foliage is being cut back to the ground.
