Tomato Growing Tips

  • Watch for green caterpillars that will eat the leaves and fruits, hand pick and destroy as you find them

Comment: Arrived safe, secure and healthy. Transplanted into a raised bed of tomatoes, carrots, pickling cuts and a variety of basil. Thriving, as in growing like a weed, since transplant. Lots of flowering, but no signs of tomatoes yet. I tend to plant many late season tomatoes and the waiting game can be painful, but the results are so worth every ache!

Comment: This is my favorite type of tomato, and my third year buying from Grow Joy. The fruits are as big as your hand and very flavorful. They're great on sandwiches. I'm in Zone 7, and mine produced the most in the early summer and late summer, when the temperatures were cooling. Meanwhile, my Brandywine Pinks were producing, so it lent itself to a good variety.
