Summerific® Cranberry Crush Hardy Hibiscus Plants produce large 7-8 inch, deep scarlet flowers that spring from buds that are almost black. It offers a full, compact growing habit with more prolific blooming than some hibiscus varieties. It is an indeterminate bloomer, which means that it bears flowers at nodes all along the flowering stems, not just at the top. The leathery, maple-ish leaves are glossy and deep green with slightly purple overtones.

Comment: Here we are 3 years later & this plant is still blooming on Oct. 1st!! It overhangs the neighbor's fence & they want want one for themselves next year! Blooms are bigger and so is the bush - over 5' tall x 4' wide, with blooms this year 8-9". LOVE IT!

Comment: I will say that I received my shipment here in Florida and am looking forward to trying this hardy variety of Hibiscus here. Had great success with them in NJ but the long rainy summers of Florida could be a challenge for them here.

Comment: The Cranberry Crush Hibiscus was sent to me as a bare root in place of something they were out of stock with when I put in my 2011 order. I was amazed that in 1 month it was almost full sized and the blossoms were totally INCREDIBLE! It is mid June in zone 7 and all the Hibiscus are getting ready to bud. One thing here in Long Island is that no matter where I get my perennial Hibiscus from, they are victim to Saw Fly Larvae. It's a quick fix from the local garden center however, so as soon as I ... More details
