Sundown Orange Bougainvillea Plants bring three incredible colors to the landscape as the bracts begin hot orange, turn bright coral, finally fading to a deep salmon shade. It is a flowering machine that puts out a big explosion of color, drops its bracts, flowers again, and repeats this all season long. Sundown Orange is extremely heat and drought tolerant and attracts pollinators galore. Can be grown as a houseplant.
Sundown Orange Bougainvillea Plant Care Instructions: Container plants do best with regular water and fertilizer. Established plants grown in the soil only need watered if it hasn’t rained for a couple of weeks. Plants cannot climb without stems being tied or attached to a support. If it freezes in your area, and you want to overwinter a container plant, simply cut it back to 24 inches and bring the pot inside the house. Find a spot that is close to an east, south or west facing window. Keep it back a couple feet from the window. Avoid placing it near any heating registers. Allow the soil to dry between waterings. Do not give it any fertilizer while inside as this is not a time for flowering.

Comment: Three of these plants were received in excellent condition - very healthy and full. They have been planted and are growing strong, but have not yet started to put on color. I’ve no doubt they will look spectacular on the trellis next to the front entryway. Zone 8B San Antonio Texas area.
