Sunrise Violet Agastache Plants produce beautiful violet-colored flowers on upright spikes that are held above mounds of green foliage. Flowers continuously from early spring until the first fall frost. Sunrise offers superior color intensity and very strong branching. It also offers excellent heat and drought tolerance! Plants can be grown in containers or directly into the ground. Hummingbird mint grows best in full sun locations with well drained soils. It attracts hummingbirds while deer and rabbits tend to avoid it.
Common Names: Hummingbird Mint, Giant Hyssop, Rock Anise Hyssop, Licorice Mint
Agastache Companion Plants: Geranium, Monarda, Nepeta
Sunrise Violet Agastache Plant Care: Keep the plant well-watered for the first 4-5 weeks. After that, only water if the plant starts looking droopy. Leave the spent flowers on the plant throughout the winter as birds enjoy eating the seeds. It can be cut back to around 6 inches from the ground in early spring before the new growth starts. This is also a good time to apply fertilizer for the year.

Comment: Lovely plant. Added to my cottage garden in front yard. I have three others and these are all in the purple, violet, amethyst shades. Pollinators love them and so do I. I am layering colors for depth. My first cottage garden. Very pleased.

Comment: I am extremely happy with the flowers I received. They are the largest from any online grower. They ship and arrive guickly in excellent condition which is amazing considering the temperature where I live have been in the high 90s to 100 degrees.
