Superbells® Blackcurrant Punch Calibrachoa is a stunning annual flowering plant that adds a burst of vibrant color to any garden or container. This cultivar is part of the popular Superbells series, known for its prolific blooming and easy maintenance.

The flowers of Blackcurrant Punch Calibrachoa are the star of the show. They are small, bell-shaped, and appear in a rich, deep purple hue that resembles the color of blackcurrant fruit. The flowers are abundant and bloom continuously throughout the growing season, creating a captivating display. The foliage is small, green, and oval-shaped, providing a perfect backdrop for the striking flowers.

This Calibrachoa cultivar has a trailing growth habit, making it an excellent choice for hanging baskets, window boxes, or as a groundcover in garden beds. The plant typically grows 6-10 inches tall and can spread up to 24 inches wide, creating a lush, mounding effect.

Blackcurrant Punch Calibrachoa grows best in full sun conditions, making it an ideal choice for sunny gardens or containers. It prefers well-draining soil and benefits from regular watering, especially during dry spells. In USDA hardiness zones 9-11, it can be grown as a perennial, overwintering successfully. However, in regions with colder climates, it is best grown as an annual.

The striking color and abundant blooms of this Blackcurrant Punch make it a versatile plant for various landscaping applications. It is commonly used in hanging baskets, patio containers, window boxes, and as a border plant in garden beds. Its trailing habit also makes it an excellent choice for cascading over retaining walls or as a groundcover in smaller areas.

Blackcurrant Punch is self-cleaning, which means it naturally sheds its spent flowers, eliminating the need for manual deadheading. This feature makes it even more low-maintenance and ensures a tidy appearance throughout the growing season. Fertilize the plant every 2-3 weeks during the growing season with a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer. Prune the plant back if it becomes leggy or overgrown to maintain its shape and promote bushier growth.

Add a touch of elegance and vibrant color to your garden with Superbells Blackcurrant Punch Calibrachoa. Its stunning deep purple flowers and easy maintenance make it a must-have for any plant enthusiast. Order yours today without reservation, as we ship all our plants with a satisfaction guarantee. Enjoy the beauty of this remarkable cultivar in your outdoor space with complete peace of mind!

Add a punch

Plants arrived in good shape I added an asparagus fern and my hanging basket was set.

A powerful punch of intense color!

The Superbells Blackcurrant Punch has intense look at me! hot pink/fuchsia/black blooms that stand out among all my other pots. The plant arrived very healthy, with a few buds already, and has been profusely blooming ever since I potted it. I've learned that Superbells prefer to dry out a bit waterings and they're heavy feeders, too, so regular fertilization will keep them blooming continuously.
