Whiskers Deep Rose Gaura Plants are profusely flowering perennials that offers maroon-hued flowers in a range of pinks, from cotton candy through deepest magenta. Multiple, long, white stamens gracefully fall from the center of each blossom. The resemble butterflies in flight. Trimming the spent flower heads in mid-summer will ensure a longer bloom period. Gaura plants tolerate urban pollution, heat and humidity, and a wide range of soils, from well-drained, fertile ones to dry and acidic. The do not however like heavy, wet soil. Deer and rabbits tend to avoid Gaura.
