Miss Bateman Clematis Plants are prolific producers of creamy white flowers with wine-red anthers that measure 6-inches in diameter. It is one of the earliest blooming varieties and keeps flowering all the way till fall. Clematis require moist soils to grow well. In northern gardens the do best in full sun but prefer lightly shaded areas in southern gardens. Deer seldom bother clematis.
