The Bloomerang® Dark Purple Reblooming Lilac produces large darker purple blooms that fill the air with perfumed air for weeks. Then the plants rest a bit after the spring blooming period before reblooming again during mid-summer and continue through frost. This syringa variety offers excellent disease resistance.
To ensure your Bloomerang Dark Purple Reblooming Lilac thrives, it's best to fertilize just after its initial spring bloom. Regular watering will promise a vibrant second bloom. Since it flowers on both new and old wood, prune only right after the spring bloom concludes. Lastly, apply a generous layer of mulch for winter protection.
