Hello Yellow Milkweed Plants enhances the colors of its favorite visitor, the monarch butterfly, to perfection! Hummingbirds enjoy its nectar will other wild birds use fiber from the plant to create their nests. It is the host plant for the Monarch butterfly. Hello Yellow Asclepias is a drought-tolerant perennial that grows well in average to sandy or rocky soils.

Hello Yellow Asclepias Plant Care Instructions: Keep the plant well-watered for the first 3-4 weeks after transplanting. After that, only water if the plant starts looking droopy. Deadheading the first flush of flowers promotes additional blooms. If you don’t want the plant to self-seed, remove all flowers once they are finished blooming. Plants can be cut back to the ground once they drop their leaves. Spring is a good time to fertilize.

Comment: We ordered two of these and one arrived in poor condition with a broken stalk - it died shortly thereafter. So why 5 stars? It just happens sometimes in shipping and the other plant was just gorgeous. I don't think one shipping problem should spoil my review of this milkweed - can't wait for it to bloom and show me yellow flowers!

Comment: So healthy, green and perfect. Was hesitant to plant so late in the season but Grow Joy plants are so healthy it really does not matter when you plant them, as long as you keep them watered. So love the Grow Joy plants.
