Plant Features

The Big Bang™ Galaxy Coreopsis Plant is like growing Big Bang™ Full Moon on steroids! Bulking up, Galaxy stands just about 12-inches tall, but produces semi-double to fully double, 2-inch Tickseed blossoms the happiest shade of yellow with orange-yellow centers. Known to attract butterflies, the finely cut petals, stacked as they are, give a finely ruffled appearance and depth that is not present on the single blossomed Tickseed plants. The dark green, medium-fine foliage is the ideal backdrop, making these heat resistant flowers seem impossibly yellow. The Big Bang™ series was created to provide continuous color and as such has sterile flowers, which will not reseed and does not attract pollinators like other tickseed varieties. Deer and rabbits tend to avoid this plant.
