Plant Features

The Clerodendrum thomsoniae, commonly called Bleeding Heart Vine, produces bushy vines with delicate white, balloon-like flowers topped with bright crimson and dark green leaves. These long-lasting blooms provide nectar for hummingbird gardens all summer long. Bleeding Heart Vine is an enthusiastic grower that will reach 3 to 5 feet when grown as an annual in containers. It can also be pruned back for a bushier look, allowed to ramble up a trellis, or trail from a hanging basket.

Bleeding Heart Vine Care Instructions: It does best with consistently moist, well-drained soil with regular applications of fertilizer. If grown as an annual in containers or hanging baskets, no trimming is needed, simply deadhead the spent flowers. If grown as a perennial in zones 10/11, provide a climbing support, fertilize in spring, summer, and fall, and trim the plant back by half after flowering.

Nice plant

My plant arrived in good condition with small buds. The buds have yet to open. The plant appears healthy even after a month and is growing nicely. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is that I waited over a month before finally contacting customer service about where my order was. Somehow it shipped the very next Monday. There definitely seems to be a problem with their ordering system.
