Bourbon Clematis brightens up the landscape with huge blooms in shades of fuchsia red. This shorter growing clematis blooms in late spring and if deadheaded will often offer a second bloom in late summer. Prune by half in late winter. Clematis require moist soils to grow well. In northern gardens they do best in full sun but prefer lightly shaded areas in southern gardens.
