Cafe au Lait Dahlia Plant

The highly sought-after Dinnerplate Dahlia, 'Cafe au Lait', is a showstopper, renowned for its large, 8-10" blooms that shift in color from blush pink and creamy beige to a pale peach. Often darker at the center and lighter towards the edges, its unique hue variation can be influenced by weather and season. Café au Lait dahlias are not only a favorite among gardeners and floral designers for their romantic appeal, but their stunning blossoms are also treasured in gardens everywhere.

Dahlia Plant Care: Wait until green sprouts emerge from the soil before watering. Then water deeply 2-3 times per week. Daily if in containers. Fertilize every 2-3 weeks for containers and every 3-4 weeks for soil grown. Use fertilizers that have a lower nitrogen count, generally half the amount of the other two on the NPK ratio. After frost has turned foliage brown, dig up the tubers and store them for the winter.
