Plant Features

The Daylily, Hemerocallis 'Daring Deception', displays a truly unique color combination, making it an attention-getter in any setting. It's blossoms grow up to 5-inches in diameter with celery-green and yellow throats whose outer edges are lined with beautiful purple scallops. The light pink, beautifully ruffled petals are also edged with purple standing out charmingly against paler pink, lightly-ruffled sepals. Its vigorous growth and prolific re-blooming habit will make it one of your favorites.

Daylily Plant Care: Besides apply water if the plant starts looking droopy (which is practically never), there is not much else this plant needs. The flower stalks can be cut back to the ground after the first frost. Dividing daylilies is not necessary unless you don't want them spreading. Division can be done when the foliage is being cut back to the ground.

Daylily Companion Plants: Coneflower, Blanket Flower, Red Hot Poker, Russian Sage, Salvia, Yarrow
