Golden Physocarpus Plants bear striking maize-yellow to lime-green foliage which turns brilliant yellow in the fall, and which is a marked contrast to the cinnamon-colored bark. This variety, if left to grow naturally, has a vase-like growth, being narrower towards the bottom and fanning out from bottom to top; you can, though, prune it to suit your fancy; after its delicate white flowers have faded, of course. Ninebark plants attracts late spring and early summer butterflies and bees. Wild birds enjoy its branches year round.
