Plant Features

One of the first and most common of the purple-leaved Heuchera, Palace Purple produces plants with purple leaves than can range in color intensity from bronzy-green to purple red. This alumroot's insignificant white flowers bloom in summer on wiry stems. Best coloration is attained when plants are exposed to some sun. This beauty was the 1991 Perennial Plant Association Plant of the Year, and for good reason! The evergreen foliage makes an attractive groundcover. Heuchera attracts hummingbirds.
