Prairie Wildfire Hemerocallis Daylily produces 5-inch blossoms that have rich-red flowers that are slightly recurved with a bright yellow throat. Prairie Wildfire ships as a bare root. Hemerocallis Plant Care: Besides apply water if the plant starts looking droopy (which is practically never), there is not much else this plant needs. The flower stalks can be cut back after the plant is done blooming for the season. Dividing daylilies is not necessary unless you don't want them spreading. Division can be done in early fall when the foliage is being cut back to the ground.
