This delicious juicy tomato is rather purple-ish in color. The plant arrived a day after being ordered in excellent condition, and is now covered with blossoms.

Cherokee Purple tomatoes

Wanted heirloom tomatoes this year!! Product arrived in clever shipping containers, they look robust. Was not able to plant immediately but seem to be doing okay and am hoping for the best tomato crop ever!!

Smooth, smoky flavor

This is my third year buying Cherokee Purple tomato plants from here, and I'm very happy with my purchases. One year, one of the stems broke in shipping, but I didn't have any problems with customer service issuing a refund. The Cherokee Purple tomato isn't as big of a beef steak as the Striped German, which is my other favorite, but it's denser and has a deeper flavor. I like growing it as a nice contrast to the fruity notes of the Striped German.

LOVE Cherokee Purple tomatoes. When I discovered that I could not find them anywhere this year in Brevard County Florida I searched online. So lucky to have found GrowJoy! There are nearly 5 feet tall in only a few weeks! Gorgeous plants! Thank you GrowJoy!

Best Plant Ever!

Love my new tomato plant! Shipped in a container that King Kong would have trouble destroying! Healthy and strong! Already has doubled it's size and is flowering in just a week! Will do it again next year!! Randy. Would add a picture if I could figure out how.

Cherokee purple tomatoes

Got my 3 tomato plants 4 days after I placed my order. I am very impressed by the size and health of my plants and can't wait to get heirloom tomatoes so we can eat tomato sandwiches. Will order from GrowJoy again.

Great purchase!

Cherokee purples arrived in sturdy packaging with fresh, healthy plants. They are now almost 5 feet tall, great foliage, lots of tomatoes. I can’t wait till they are ready to eat! This will be my "go to” plant company.

Cherokee Purple Heirloom Tomato Plant

My Cherokee purple tomato plants arrived well protected, undamaged and healthy. Plants I have ordered from other sources in the past would arrive wilted,and broken, Wish I could report on the quality of the fruit, but it is much to early for that. I plan to update my review when the harvest comes in.

Really happy with the shipping the plants arrived when expected and were packed securely. This is a new variety of tomato for me...I hope I can convince my family that tomatoes come in other colors! Or I can eat them all myself. Can hardly wait until July!

Shipment of live tomato plants

I was concerned about the shipping of live plants. I was not sure how they would do being tossed around in the back of a truck. My biggest concern was would they be viable enough to survive the trip and then to be transplanted into my Garden. Wow! They looked pretty good and within a couple of hours of being transplanted one would never have known they had been shipped. They look wonderful and I am really looking forward to our tomato crop this fall. Thanks for all you do.

rich taste and high yield

This will be our third year with GrowJoy Purple Cherokees. We've had great success with these plants. Lots of large, highly flavorful fruit. Bears even in the heat of an early Florida summer (it does shut down by July). Very pleased and looking forward to our new crop!

anticipation

I live in the desert and love to garden. I prefer the Heirlooms for their taste. Haven't had much luck in the past-am trying this company now. Plant came in a very secure box and about a foot tall. It has been about 2 weeks and plant is thriving and growing like the proverbial weed. Crossing my fingers.
