Quartz Creek Juncus Grass Plant

The Quartz Creek Juncus (Soft Rush Grass) Plant is a Proven Selections® Winner and has won 14 different awards from various organizations since 2006. Quartz Creek is an evergreen to semi-evergreen ornamental grass that has very narrow cylindrical stems that gracefully arch and move with soft breezes. This Juncus effusus naturally inhabits shallow, calm waters and ditches around the world and does not seem to care if its feet are occasionally wet in salt or fresh water. It prefers, in fact, to be somewhat waterlogged, but will also grow with average soil moisture, as long as it is not allowed to dry out completely. It is sprinkled with tiny, tufted brown flowers from summer through fall. Its controlled clumping nature makes it ideal for both containers and water gardens.
